Sweep picking can feel like an uphill battle when you’re perfecting the mechanics of motion. But the magic happens when you experiment. While practicing a simple three-string minor arpeggio at varying speeds, I started playing around with note choices outside the standard arpeggio shape—and voila! A lick that’s both melodic and technically exciting was born.
